Ongoing measures to reduce emissions:
• the introduction of diesel locomotives of the EVOLUTION series with a reduced emission of pollutants, which will reduce emissions into the atmospheric air by more than 2.2 times compared to diesel locomotives of older models;
• The emission level meets UIC III A emission standards, environmental requirements of GOST P 50953-96, GOST P 50952-96. Compared to locomotives 2TЭ10M and 2TЭ116, polluting emissions are reduced by more than 40%.
• purchase of new passenger cars with combined heating, equipped with closed-type toilets, which will reduce emissions of pollutants and eliminate bacterial contamination of the railway track;
• conversion of boiler houses from solid to gaseous fuel, connection of heating of industrial buildings to electric heat supply, which helps to reduce atmospheric air pollution from stationary sources;
• implementation of separate waste collection (waste paper, defective electronic equipment (BIO), plastic, scrap metal, used oil, batteries, tires) with subsequent transfer to third-party organizations for recycling on a reimbursable basis.
