JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (KTZ) hereby informs that, as part of the implementation of the Darbaza – Maktaaral project aimed at developing railway infrastructure in southern Kazakhstan and enhancing transit capacity towards Central Asia, environmental and social studies have been conducted. Based on the results of this work, environmental and social documents have been prepared in line with the requirements of international financial institutions: Non-Technical Summary (NTS), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP), Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) and Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan (LARP).
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Policy on the Project-affected People’s Mechanism (PPM) is applicable for the Darbaza – Maktaaral Railway Project. Project-affected people may raise their concerns regarding the environmental and social aspects with KTZ and AIIB management. If the concerns cannot be addressed satisfactorily, you are welcome to submit your concerns to the PPM. JSC "National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" announces that, as part of the implementation of the "Kyzylzhar – Moyynty" project aimed at developing the Trans-Kazakhstan railway corridor, environmental and social studies were conducted in cooperation with Dongsung Engineering. Based on the results of this work, corresponding environmental and social reports were updated.
