Youth Reserve: KTZ is building a team for the future

JSC NC KTZ has launched a large-scale program, " Youth personnel reserve," a strategic  initiative aimed at identifying talented young people and developing the Company's future management elite. The program's goal is to build a solid foundation by developing the professional and leadership skills of young specialists, creating real opportunities for career advancement, and preparing them for key positions. This is an important step toward building a modern, sustainable, and dynamic team capable of responding to the challenges of the times.

KTZ is shaping a generation of young professionals for whom love for their homeland, strong patriotism, and loyalty to their chosen profession are a conscious choice and a way of life. It is this conviction that transforms their work into a powerful support for the country's development and makes the railway not just an industry, but a symbol of service to Kazakhstan.

Applications were accepted for the program from October 15 to October 31, 2025, and 1,167 people responded. The program included three selection stages: a competency assessment, professional testing, and an interview with a panel. Following these three stages, 170 employees from the Corporate Center, network, regional, and line levels were accepted.

This year, the pool participants will undergo comprehensive training, including the development of professional skills, management and communication competencies, project participation, and mentoring.

The training will combine theoretical and practical work.

The " Youth personnel reserve " program places special emphasis on developing key  principles—a commitment to continuous growth, initiative, and responsibility—on both the young professionals and their mentors. This initiative aims to build a strong pool of talented young people, strengthen succession, and increase motivation and engagement among young employees. This not only promotes effective operations but also enhances the Company's competitiveness through the development of human capital. Successful program participants will receive recommendations for further career advancement within KTZ.
