National carrier launches Karaganda – Balkhash passenger train

Passenger Transportation JSC  is launching passenger train No. 220/219 on the Karaganda – Balkhash route starting June 1. This route will provide additional transport accessibility for residents of the Karaganda region and passengers traveling toward the city of Balkhash.

The total route length is 472 km, with 19 scheduled stops along the way. The train will operate every other day on odd-numbered dates. 
Schedule

From Karaganda Station:

•    Departure: 6:00 AM
•    Arrival at Balkhash Station: 12:48 PM

From Balkhash Station:

•    Departure: 13:45 PM
•    Arrival at Karaganda Station: 20:53 PM

The train will pass through the following stations: Karaganozek, Karabas, Kulaygyr, Karamuryn, Dariya, Zharyk, Nildy, Aisa, Akadyr, Bosaga, Moiynty, Buyrek, and Sarykum.
The train consists of 6 carriages: 2 compartment cars (kupe) and 4 reserved-seat cars (platzkart). The total capacity is approximately 300 seats.
