JSC "Kaztemirtrans" Ensures Stable Coal Transportation for the Heating Season

29-09-2026

JSC "Kaztemirtrans" (a subsidiary of JSC "NC "KTZ") continues uninterrupted coal deliveries as part of preparations for the 2026–2027 heating season. The fuel is being dispatched to combined heat and power plants (CHPPs), residential consumers, industrial enterprises, and export markets.

To date, over 41,000 carloads of coal have been transported, against a target of approximately 49,000. Total plan fulfillment stands at around 94%, and reaches nearly 97% when factoring in carloads rejected by shippers.

The bulk of transportation is traditionally dedicated to vital public utility infrastructure. More than 24,000 carloads have been delivered to CHPPs, representing over 96% of the target. Over 7,000 carloads have been shipped to meet the heating needs of residential consumers, ahead of the planned schedule.

Deliveries by "Bogatyr Komir" LLP

A substantial share of shipments consists of coal deliveries by "Bogatyr Komir" LLP from the Ekibastuz II and Ekibastuz III stations to thermal power companies. Currently, over 13,600 carloads of the company's products have been moved. This plan is approximately 92% complete, and around 93% complete when including rejected carloads.

Export Destinations

JSC "Kaztemirtrans" also assists domestic cargo shippers in delivering solid fuel to foreign markets. More than 3,500 carloads of coal have been exported, with plan fulfillment at around 68%. The company is working closely with exporters to increase shipment rates.

To ensure a steady transportation process and the timely arrival of fuel to end-users, JSC "Kaztemirtrans" conducts round-the-clock monitoring of the loading, formation, and transit of coal shipping routes.
