Kazakhstan and Tajikistan: development of railway cooperation

A working meeting was held in Astana between Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KTZ  Yelzhas Otynshiyev and Head of the State Unitary Enterprise "Rohi Ohani Tojikiston" K. Mirzoali. During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of railway transport. The heads of the railway administrations of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan reviewed the current state and promising areas of interaction, paying special attention to increasing the volume of mutual freight traffic, creating optimal logistical conditions, and developing the transit potential of both countries. Following the negotiations, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen partnership relations and effectively implement joint initiatives.
