KTZ discussed grain transportation

A meeting on the transportation of new crop grain was held at NC KTZ JSC with the participation of grain carrier operators, forwarders, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, NCE Atameken, the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, as well as grain terminals. 

During the marketing period (September 2024 - August 2025), the volume of grain transportation amounted to 13.3 million tons, of which 10.2 million tons were exported. During the marketing period, 1,670 grain cargo routes were formed and sent, export routes were sent to China, through the port of Aktau and to the countries of Central Asia.

There are about 13.8 thousand grain wagons (20% more than last year), 16.5 thousand covered wagons, and over 2 thousand wagons from CIS operators have been additionally attracted for grain transportation.

KTZ is implementing a large-scale program to modernize key routes: Dostyk - Moiynty, Beineu - Aktau, Zhetigen - Altynkol, Semey - Pavlodar and others. The implementation of the projects will significantly increase the network's throughput capacity.

KTZ has a grain headquarters for coordinating transportation, and grain groups operate in the railway departments.
