Railway transportation increased by 4.4% in the first quarter of 2025

The volume of loading on the KTZ network in January-March 2025 amounted to 64.2 million tons, which is 4.4% higher than the same period last year. Of this volume, 41 million tons were domestic shipments. Exports increased by 12% and amounted to 23.2 million tons.

Among the key items is coal, of which 26.7 million tons were loaded in the quarter, which is 1.4% higher than the same period last year. Domestic demand for solid fuel is fully satisfied. Coal exports increased by 16.2%, to 7.5 million tons.

A significant increase was also recorded for grain: loading increased by 48.7% compared to last year and reached 3.6 million tons. Of these, 2.8 million tons were exports, which is 52% higher than the 2024 figure.

There was also an increase in the loading of oil cargo - by 3.4% (up to 5 million tons), ferrous metals - by 11.4% (up to 1.1 million tons), chemical fertilizers - by 19.6% (up to 1.2 million tons) and construction materials - by 4.6% (up to 2.8 million tons).
