Passenger trains are being prepared for summer transportation

Passenger carriages are being prepared for the summer transportation period around the clock in the technical parks of Passenger Transportation JSC. This work is being carried out in order to make summer transportation for passengers as comfortable and safe as possible. 

According to the regulations, scheduled inspections of the undercarriage equipment and the undercarriage of the carriage, external washing of the bodies and cleaning of the undercarriage of the carriages, partial painting of vestibules and handrails are carried out, windows are opened and cleaned, rubber bands and seals on them are replaced, all faults are eliminated.

Before the trip, all carriages undergo sanitary and disinfection treatment, including the surfaces of the floor, ceiling, tables, sofas and windows. Disinfection is carried out by irrigation, dusting and wiping with preparations in accordance with sanitary rules.

Train crew members are provided with personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, antiseptics). Before the trip, employees undergo a pre-shift medical examination.

On an ongoing basis, production personnel are briefed on safety precautions, first aid, and compliance with service ethics standards.

It is worth noting that today trains operate on 130 routes across the country. Of these, 99 routes are served by Passenger Transportation JSC. The remaining 31 routes are operated by 14 private carriers. 

The rolling stock of Passenger Transportation JSC consists of 2,168 units of rolling stock, including: 

• standard cars — 1,322 units (61%),

• Talgo cars — 732 units (34%),

• multiple unit rolling stock— 114 units (5%).
