Over 240,000 Passengers with Special Needs Have Traveled by the National Carrier's Trains Since the Beginning of the Year

Since the beginning of this year, over 240,000 passengers with disabilities have traveled on the trains operated by JSC "Passenger Transportation."

Staff cars with specialized compartments are in service on 112 routes to accommodate passengers with reduced mobility. The cars are equipped with lifting platforms, widened vestibule areas, and corridors that allow for comfortable movement in a wheelchair.

Each specialized compartment includes convenient seating with secure fixtures for both the passenger and an accompanying person, as well as a restroom equipped with handrails and a sink positioned at an accessible height.

To improve accessibility to railway transport, benefits are provided. On commercial trains and "Talgo" trains, a 50% discount on fares is available for all categories of disability, as well as for accompanying persons, provided that a specialized compartment is present.
