More than 484 thousand children transported by National Carrier trains

On the eve of International Children's Day, Passenger Transportation JSC summed up the results of child passenger transportation. Since the beginning of the year, National Carrier trains have transported more than 484 thousand children. 

The most popular routes were Astana-Almaty, Astana-Shymkent, Almaty-Shymkent, Astana-Semey and Almaty-Semey.

The following rules apply to the transportation of minor passengers on trains:

● Parents are allowed to transport one child under 7 years of age free of charge, if he or she does not occupy a separate seat;
● If there are several children under 7 years of age, free travel is provided only to one, children's tickets are purchased for the rest;
● For children from 7 to 15 years old, a child's ticket with a 50% discount is issued;
● Children aged 15 and over must purchase an adult ticket; independent travel is possible with a notarized consent from a legal representative.

In addition, all routes feature multimedia services with children's content, and restaurant cars offer menus adapted for children.

JSC Passenger Transportation continues to improve the quality of service and expands the range of services for the youngest passengers.
