More than 450 tourists went on a trip on the Jibek Joly and Keruen Express trains during Nauryz

During the celebration of Nauryz, more than 450 passengers went on a trip on the tourist trains "Jibek Joly" and "Keruen Express", which were launched by the National Carrier. The route of the tourist train between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will allow tourists to visit historical places and enjoy the spring atmosphere of the Nauryz holiday.

The tourist train "Jibek Joly" departed from Almaty and follows the route "Almaty-Turkestan-Tashkent-Samarkand-Taraz-Almaty". The duration of the tour is 6 days - from March 20 to March 25, 2025. The Keruen Express train also departed from Almaty and will travel along the Almaty-Turkestan-Tashkent-Samarkand-Almaty route, and the journey will take 5 days - from March 21 to 25, 2025.

Both tourist trains are formed from modern comfortable carriages of domestic production, the interior of which is decorated in a national style with elements of traditional ornament. "Keruen Express" includes 5 carriages (4 compartments and 1 restaurant carriage), and "Jibek Joly" consists of 10 carriages (9 compartments and 1 restaurant carriage).

The train routes run through iconic cultural and historical centers of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In Turkestan, passengers will be able to visit the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as the historical Caravanserai, which recreates the atmosphere of the Great Silk Road. In Tashkent, tourists will have a tour of the historical complex of Hazrati Imam, a visit to the Barak Khan madrasah, the mausoleum of Abu Bakr Kaffali Shashi and Tole Bi, as well as the opportunity to enjoy modern entertainment, for example, in the theme park "Magic City".

Samarkand will be another key point on the route, where passengers will be able to see the Shakhi-Zinda complex, the Gur-Emir mausoleum, as well as Registan Square, including the Sher-Dor, Tillya-Kari and Ulugbek madrasahs. The final point of the Jibek Joly train journey will be Taraz, one of the oldest cities in Kazakhstan, known for its rich architectural heritage.

The price of the tourist package includes travel on a tourist train, a tourist program with professional guides, excursions with entrance tickets and transfers.

Tourist trains are organized by KTZ with the assistance of Uzbekistan Railways, the Tourism Committee and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Tourism, as well as with the support of the akimats of the city of Taraz and the Turkestan region.

The launch of the tourist trains "Keruen Express" and "Jibek Joly" is an important step in the development of railway tourism, contributing to the strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the popularization of the historical heritage of the region.
