KTZ visiting commissions checked repair work at 125 stations

NC KTZ JSC is implementing a large-scale modernization program for railway station infrastructure. At the same time, repair work is being carried out at 125 railway stations across the country. On behalf of the Chairman of the  Management Board of NC KTZJSC , visiting commissions were created, which conducted a comprehensive inspection of the readiness of facilities for the upcoming heating season from August 25 to September 1.

The condition of temporary buildings and their compliance with requirements for area and equipment, the functioning of heating, lighting and information services were checked. Particular attention was paid to safety measures, ensuring favorable conditions for passengers, as well as the organization of workplaces for cashiers, information services and station attendants.

The commissions not only recorded the condition of the facilities, but also promptly took measures to eliminate the identified deficiencies, giving instructions to contractors and responsible services.

The results of the inspections were communicated to local executive bodies and contractors, which pledged to ensure the timely readiness of temporary premises for the heating season. Under the concluded contracts, responsibility for the quality and timing of construction and installation work is assigned to contractors recommended by local executive bodies.

At the same time, explanatory work is being carried out at stations and in passenger trains about the progress of repair work aimed at improving the quality of services provided.

Repeat visits of the commissions are planned for the period from September 15 to 20.
