KTZ is ready to transport over 4.2 million passengers in the summer season on all its routes

Trains remain a key mode of transport for domestic tourism in Kazakhstan. Since the beginning of the summer season, more than 47.8 thousand people have been transported to Kurort-Borovoe station, and over 32.5 thousand to Lake Alakol. In total, more than 80.4 thousand passengers have already been served on these two routes.
It is planned to transport about 280 thousand passengers to Alakol, which is 16 thousand more than last year. The carriages on this route are filled to 100%.
During the summer, JSC Passenger Transportation will provide transportation of up to 4.2 million passengers on 112 routes. For this purpose, the number of additional trains has been increased, covering key resort destinations - Alakol, Balkhash, Kurort Borovoe.
The schedule includes 11 trains and trailer carriages, running with varying frequency: from daily to several times a week. The most popular routes are from Astana and Almaty to Dostyk, Zhalanashkol, Shymkent and other tourist areas.
For the convenience of passengers, Zhalanashkol and Koktum stations have introduced a flexible work schedule. Akshi station has been switched to a 24-hour mode. Sanitary zones, waiting rooms and adjacent infrastructure have been updated. The stations have a public address system and ticket offices.
