Digital Complex Improves Crew Safety and Train Traffic Safety

A hardware and software system has been installed on railcars (specialized self-propelled rolling stock for transporting personnel and servicing overhead contact system and power supply devices) of the Astana Power Supply Division. The system performs two key functions:

- improving the operational safety of operating crews;
- ensuring the safety of railcars operating on the mainline railway network.

The system records actions on the railcar tower and the driver's work, including obscuring the camera's view, using a mobile phone while driving, and signs of fatigue or falling asleep. All data is processed and stored in a single digital environment. Recording all actions helps reduce risks by minimizing the impact of human error.

By the end of the year, the system is planned to be installed on 91 railcars across all electrified power supply divisions of the Mainline Network Directorate.
