Additional receiving and departure tracks will be built at Tobol station

Railway workers of the Kostanay branch of the KTZ main network are planning to build additional tracks in the even-numbered receiving and departure yard of Tobol station this year. This will increase its processing capacity.

Today, the even-numbered receiving and departure yard of the station has 13 tracks for the passage of passenger trains from Kartala, Zhitikara, receiving freight trains from Kartala, Zhitikara, Astana, Mailino, as well as sending trains to Astana, Mailino, Zhitikara station.

Also, as part of the modernization of the region's railway infrastructure, this year the department plans to overhaul more than 67 km of track on the Shokkaragay - Kunshash, Kunshash - Karagalinskaya, Tobol - Pritobolskaya and other sections.

In addition, during the summer track works, work will be carried out on intensive-medium and medium track repairs, replacement of turnouts, lengthening of rail whips.

To prevent animals from going onto the railway tracks, 34 km of fencing will be built on the Karagalinskaya - Basagash, Kushmurun-Amankaragay, Tobol - Pereleski and other sections.
