Over 180 railway stations to be modernized in Kazakhstan by 2030

KTZ is implementing a Program to increase the capacity of the existing railway infrastructure.
Taking into account the dynamics of growth in demand for passenger and freight transportation, the increase in transit freight traffic, along with the construction of new sections of railways, it is planned to develop the throughput and processing capacity of more than 180 railway stations.
Additional sidings, receiving and dispatching tracks and dispatch ramps will be built, existing tracks will be extended and previously dismantled tracks will be restored.
Since the beginning of 2024, work has begun on coordinating and registering additional land areas, obtaining relevant permits for design and survey work, conclusions of authorized bodies (architectural and planning assignments, environmental assessments, aviation permits, water and basin inspections, etc.).
