KTZ: The use of artificial intelligence in railways is developing rapidly

NC KTZ JSC took part in the Foresight Forum "Horizon - 2035: Artificial Intelligence and Transport of the Future", which was held in the capital on the eve of the International Exhibition "TransLogistica Kazakhstan". 

The forum was organized by TLK Media, N. Isingarin Transport Initiatives Development Fund, the Association of Corporate Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan "KAZLOGISTICS" with the support of NC KTZ JSC, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the strategic session "From the Silk Road to the Digital Transport Route", it was announced that the main goal of the railway industry today is to create a "smart" railway using advanced technologies (cloud computing, big data analysis, artificial intelligence, etc.).

A lot of work is being done in this area, including automation of traffic control: smart systems allow optimizing train routes, reducing delays and increasing throughput.

One of the important areas is the partnership with Wabtec, within the framework of which work is underway to implement the Kinetix diagnostic complex. In addition, the automated control system

ASU "Magistral" is already successfully operating today. The data obtained with the help of this system are actively used in maintenance and repair (MR).

To work with AI visual data and analyze large amounts of information, KTZ cooperates with Huawei within the framework of the PanGu platform. It provides visual analytics and allows accumulating data from all sources of information for their detailed analysis.

With the help of modern technologies such as machine learning, predictive analytics and work with big data, KTZ is creating the foundation for the introduction of AI in the railway industry of Kazakhstan. This will significantly improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the domestic infrastructure.
