KTZ urges drivers to keep caution at railway crossings

KTZ once again draws the attention of drivers to the need to strictly adhere to safety rules at railway crossings. In 2024, 28 road accidents were recorded at crossings, most of which occurred at unguarded crossings. All of these incidents were the result of drivers violating traffic rules when crossing railway tracks.

KTZ reminds that safety at crossings depends on the mutual responsibility of all road users. In 2024, railway workers familiarized more than 102 thousand drivers with the rules for crossing railway crossings. They conducted more than 2 thousand preventive raids and about 800 meetings with drivers at motor transport enterprises, where the importance of attentiveness and compliance with the rules when crossing railway crossings was discussed. KTZ calls on drivers not to ignore traffic lights and prohibitory signs, and to strictly follow traffic rules, especially in winter, when weather conditions can significantly worsen visibility and road conditions.
