A joint international crossing point will resume operation at Bolashak station

Bilateral negotiations between representatives of KTZ and the Turkmendemiryollary Agency were held in Almaty. The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation and increasing the efficiency of rail transportation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The volume of transportation between the two countries in 2024 amounted to 1.6 million tons. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to resume the operation of the joint international crossing point at the Bolashak railway station, located on the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
This step will speed up the process of exchanging trains and reduce the inspection time required for the transportation of goods. These measures are aimed at increasing the volume of transportation between the two countries.
