Women-only carriages retained in new Stadler trains on the Astana – Semey route

Passenger Transportation JSC reports that the women-only carriage service, which previously operated on this route, has been preserved in the new Stadler trains on route No. 153/154 "Nurly Zhol – Semey". The first run of the new train from the capital to Semey is scheduled for November 13, 2026.

The women-only carriage is designed to provide extra comfort for female passengers during their trip. The special feature of this service is that tickets for such carriages can be purchased exclusively by women, and service is provided solely by female conductors. Boys under the age of seven are also allowed to travel in women-only carriages.

Ticket prices for women-only carriages do not differ from the fares for regular carriages of the corresponding category. Tickets can be purchased on the official website bilet.railways.kz, as well as at railway station ticket offices. When booking tickets online, pay attention to the "ЖН" designation, which indicates a women-only carriage.
