04-03-2026

KTZ, in partnership with the ASMAR Association, held a conference dedicated to the role of women in digital transformation and the implementation of ESG principles. The event brought together representatives of government agencies, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, businesses, and experts to discuss women's contribution to the modernization of the transport and logistics industry. Opening the program, ASMAR Association Head Lyazzat Ramazanova emphasized the importance of partnerships with national giants to create a supportive environment for leadership.

Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of Management Board of JSC NC KTZ, emphasized that women are the main architects of the railway's intellectual ecosystem. Today, the company employs approximately 26,000 women, 2,500 of whom hold management positions, and women account for over 20% of the youth talent pool. A special symbol of continuity is the story of Zabira Zhusupova, the first Kazakh female locomotive engineer, whose family line has been working in the industry for four generations.

Thanks to digitalization and the implementation of sustainability standards, KTZ demonstrated significant growth in the S&P Global ranking, increasing its score from 60 to 75 points. The company entered the top 3% of global transport companies and became the first Kazakhstan representative in the S&P Global Industry Yearbook. The company established the Kazakhstan Women Railway Workers Association.

The conference, which also included training sessions on developing competencies in the AI era, cemented the status of women as an important factor in professional growth and dialogue.
