What should a passenger do if they feel unwell on the train?
10-02-2026
Passenger Transportation JSC reminds passengers of the steps to take if they feel unwell during travel. Train conductors on all passenger trains undergo mandatory first aid training. Each train is equipped with a first aid kit.
If a passenger feels unwell en route, they should:
1. Immediately notify the train conductor.
The conductor will assess the passenger's condition and provide first aid within their authority.
2. If necessary, the conductor will inform the train conductor.
The train conductor will arrange further action, including contacting medical services.
3. In the event of an emergency, an ambulance will be called.
If necessary, the train may be met by a medical team at the nearest station or, in exceptional cases, an unscheduled stop may be made in accordance with established regulations.
4. It is recommended to carry personal medications.
Passengers with chronic illnesses should ensure they have the necessary medications in advance and inform the conductor of any potential risks.
Emergencies on trains occur regularly and are not always related solely to a deterioration in health. Train crews encounter a wide variety of situations, including births en route. Over the past three years, approximately 15 babies have been born on National Carrier trains with the assistance of conductors and train conductors.
National Carrier emphasizes that passenger safety and health are a priority.
Passenger Transportation JSC urges passengers to pay close attention to their health, not to ignore alarming symptoms, and to seek help promptly.
