What to do if the train has departed and the passenger is late boarding

Missing a train is an unpleasant situation that some passengers encounter from time to time. JSC Passenger Transportation reminds passengers what to do if the train has already departed and the passenger is stranded on the platform.

The first step is to contact the ticket office at the station and inform the cashier of the situation. If the passenger is late for the train, they have the option of receiving a partial refund. However, this must be done no later than one hour after the train's departure from the station indicated on the ticket.

To receive a refund, you will need to present identification and your ticket. The cashier will process the necessary documents and, if seats are available, offer transfer options to the next train.

The amount and terms of the refund are determined by the Rules for the Carriage of Passengers, Baggage, Cargo, and Mail by Rail.

In such situations, passengers are also advised to call the operator at 1433 for additional information or to contact the station's information service.

Passenger Transportation JSC reminds passengers that to avoid such situations, it is recommended to arrive at the station early to ensure timely boarding.
