Two Railway Stations Reconstructed in Pavlodar Region

The reconstruction of two railway stations—Kalkaman and Shiderty—has been completed in the Pavlodar region.

During the project's implementation, a full complex of construction and installation works was carried out at both sites. Roofing works have been finalized, interior and exterior finishing of the premises completed, and internal water supply, sewerage, and heating systems modernized. Electrical and low-voltage communications were also installed. In addition, works were conducted to landscape the surrounding areas and upgrade the passenger platforms. The stations are equipped with new furniture and modern equipment, creating more comfortable conditions for passengers and railway transport workers.

The Kalkaman Type 3 railway station, built in 1955, meets modern requirements for passenger infrastructure following the reconstruction. Eight passenger trains run through the station, providing transport connections with Astana, Pavlodar, Semey, Kokshetau, Karaganda, Turkestan, Shymkent, Beyneu, and Mangistau.

The Shiderty Type 3 railway station, built in 1954, has also been completely updated and serves an average of three passengers daily. Eight passenger trains run through the station, providing transport connections with Astana, Pavlodar, Semey, Kokshetau, Karaganda, Turkestan, Shymkent, Beyneu, and Mangistau.

The reconstruction of the stations aims to improve the quality of passenger service, create a comfortable and safe environment, and develop a modern railway infrastructure.
