31-08-2026

The reconstruction of two railway stations—Altay and Kumistau—has been completed in the East Kazakhstan region.

During the project's implementation, a full complex of construction and installation works was carried out at both sites. Works on the buildings' frameworks and roofing have been finalized, interior and exterior finishing of the premises completed, and internal engineering networks for water supply, sewerage, power supply, and low-voltage systems installed. Works were also conducted to upgrade the passenger platforms. The stations are equipped with new furniture and modern equipment.

The Altay railway station, built in 1953, meets modern requirements for passenger infrastructure following the reconstruction. Two passenger trains run through the station, providing transport connections with the city of Oskemen.

The Kumistau railway station, built in 1954, has also been completely updated. Two passenger trains run through the station, providing transport connections with the city of Oskemen.

The reconstruction of the stations aims to improve the quality of passenger service, create a comfortable and safe environment, and further develop a modern railway infrastructure in the region.
