Two railway stations have reopened after reconstruction in the Akmola region

The reconstruction of the railway stations at Arshaly and Saryoba stations has been completed in the Akmola Region. The works were carried out as part of the railway infrastructure modernization program.

During the reconstruction, the station buildings were renovated, exterior and interior finishes were completed, utility networks were replaced, platforms were reconstructed, and the surrounding areas were landscaped. Modern furniture and equipment were installed inside the buildings. Special attention was paid to safety: load-bearing structures were reinforced, emergency exits were equipped, and accessible conditions were created for passengers with reduced mobility.

The building facades are clad with fiber cement panels, while durable, fire-resistant, and easy-to-clean materials of Kazakhstani manufacture were used for the interior finishing.

The Arshaly and Saryoba stations belong to the 2nd category. Ten passenger trains connect various regions of Kazakhstan through each station, and international routes to the Russian Federation also pass through the Arshaly station. The Arshaly station building was constructed in 1945, and the Saryoba station in 1938.

The reconstruction has brought the stations into compliance with modern requirements for safety, accessibility, and comfort, thereby improving the quality of passenger service.

The works were financed by KTZ's own funds as part of implementing the instructions of the Head of State, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, the Akimat of the Akmola Region, and Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
