Tobol railway station reconstruction completed in Kostanay region

The reconstruction of the railway station at Tobol station has been completed in the Kostanay region. The upgrade was carried out as part of the country's station modernization program, following the instructions of the Head of State.

The station was built in 1943. The area of the single-story building exceeds 430 square meters.

The building's roof and facade were completely updated, internal premises, utility networks, and the platform were repaired, and the adjacent territory was landscaped. New furniture and equipment were installed inside the station.

Special attention was paid to safety during the upgrade. The facade is clad with fiber cement panels, and the plinth is finished with granite. Durable and fire-resistant materials were chosen for the interior spaces, and the floors are made of porcelain stoneware.

Additional emergency exits were also equipped, and doors meeting fire safety requirements were installed.

The station serves up to 380 passengers daily. Twenty-six passenger trains pass through the station, connecting Tobol with Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Semey, Aktobe, Kostanay, Oral, Atyrau, Mangistau, Beyneu, and Shu.

The reconstruction was financed through the internal funds of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, JSC "Samruk-Kazyna," and the Akimat of the Kostanay region. The project aims to improve the quality of passenger service, create comfortable and safe conditions, and enhance the visual appearance of the railway infrastructure facility.
