Themed Victory Day trains depart from the capital

On Victory Day, specially decorated themed trains departed from the platforms of Astana’s railway stations. These included the Talgo No. 9/10 "Astana – Almaty," No. 85/86 "Astana – Shymkent," and electric trains No. 6803/6804 "Astana – Atbasar," No. 7502/7501 "Astana – Pavlodar," and No. 7507/7508 "Astana – Kokshetau." These train sets are dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory and the immortal feat of Kazakhstani heroes during the Great Patriotic War.

The train cars feature portraits of legendary figures — Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev, Aliya Moldagulova, Manshuk Mametova, Khiuaz Dospanova, Nurken Abdirov, Toleugali Abdibekov, Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Kassym Kaissenov, Malik Gabdullin, and Talgat Bigeldinov — war veterans who etched their names into history.

The first passengers greeted the trains' departure with enthusiasm and interest, with many taking photos against the backdrop of the themed cars to share in the holiday atmosphere.

The national carrier traditionally implements such initiatives, decorating trains annually for state and national holidays. This not only contributes to the preservation of historical memory but also provides passengers with a special atmosphere during their journey.

The decorated trains will continue to run until the end of May, allowing residents and guests of the capital to connect with history and pay tribute to the heroes' feat during their travels.
