The student hackathon "KTZ – ALT INNOVATION," which took place as part of the VII Eurasian Forum on Transport Safety and Digitalization, has concluded at the ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev.
The hackathon brought together 43 teams—comprising more than 170 students from Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Shymkent, and Aktau. Sixteen teams advanced to the finals. Over the course of 24 hours, the participants worked on KTZ case studies titled "Digital Station" and "Automated Dispatcher." The teams developed digital solutions, created functioning prototypes, and presented them to an expert jury.
Based on the hackathon results, first place was shared by the "SULU" team from the Satbayev University (Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University) and the "Shanyrak" team from the Shymkent ALT Transport College named after M. Tynyshbayev.
Second place was taken by the "BESEU" team from the ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev and the "NOVA" team from the Almaty Technological University.
Third place was awarded to the "Insomnia" team from the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov and the "LogWay" team from the Kazakh-German University.
For the company, the hackathon served as a source of fresh ideas and new technological approaches to solving practical industry problems. It provided an opportunity to view digitalization through the eyes of the younger generation, evaluate working prototypes, and strengthen cooperation with the country's leading universities and colleges.
The best projects may be further developed within KTZ's digital initiatives.
