Sanitary facilities being upgraded at Nurly Zhol railway station

The phased upgrade of sanitary facilities continues at the Nurly Zhol railway station.

A modernization project for the restrooms was developed at the beginning of 2026. In May, a phased renovation began on six facilities located on the first, fourth, and fifth floors of the station, which experience the highest passenger traffic.

The first upgraded restroom on the 4th floor is already open to visitors. Renovation of two more facilities is scheduled for completion by the end of this year, while the remaining three will be put into operation in the first half of 2027.

The upgraded facilities feature modern and practical materials, complete finish renewals, an enhanced appearance, and more comfortable conditions for passengers.

The works are being carried out by the station administration in cooperation with the commercial space management company as part of improving passenger service quality.

The Nurly Zhol station, commissioned in 2017, is the capital's largest railway station complex and a multifunctional public space. In addition to serving rail passengers, it houses a Specialized Public Service Center (ЦОН), migration service divisions, police, a museum, and other organizations. The complex is visited daily by about 9,000 train passengers, as well as thousands of residents and guests of the capital.

The station administration urges visitors to treat the property of the station complex with care and maintain cleanliness so that comfortable conditions are preserved for everyone.
