04-09-2026
The republican preventive campaign "Safe Crossing" continues in the Almaty and Kyzylorda regions. The events are being conducted by JSC "NC "KTZ" as part of the implementation of the "Law and Order" concept and are aimed at improving safety at railway crossings.
In the Almaty region, railway workers together with police officers conducted raids at the Zhelygen – Kairat and Aksenger – Burunday crossings. More than 60 drivers received explanations regarding the rules for safe crossing of railway tracks and the liability for their violation.
The campaign participants reminded drivers of the need to comply with signaling requirements and to refrain from driving onto a crossing when a stop signal is displayed. Special attention was paid to the fact that the braking distance of a train can reach up to one kilometer, making it impossible to stop the train instantly.
In the Kyzylorda region, preventive measures took place at the Kambash – Shomish and Toretam – Akzhar crossings, as well as in the area of Terenozek station.
The crossing at the 2770th kilometer of Terenozek station is one of the busiest in this section. About 50 vehicles pass through it per hour, including freight transport carrying agricultural products. Traffic here operates around the clock.
Railway workers from the Kyzylorda track distance conducted explanatory work with drivers, distributed informative leaflets, and reminded them of the rules for safe passage. Previously, similar raids took place at the crossings of Baigekum, Besaryk, and Shornak stations.
Preventive measures were also conducted by railway workers from the Kazaly track distance at the Kazalinsk station crossing and crossings near Toretam – Akzhar stations, as well as at the 2445th and 2593rd kilometers of the Kamyshlybash – Shomish section.
Drivers were reminded that violating the rules for passing through railway crossings entails administrative liability in accordance with Article 607 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offences.
The "Safe Crossing" campaign continues across the entire KTZ network. Its main goal is to prevent road traffic accidents at crossings and to foster a responsible attitude toward safety requirements among drivers.
