The reconstruction of the railway station built in 1941 has been completed in Zhezkazgan (Ulytau region). Following the modernization, the station's area has increased more than fourfold — from 582 to 2,540 square meters.

The building now offers more comfortable conditions for passengers and features upgraded infrastructure.

During the reconstruction, a new load-bearing frame, walls, and floors were erected, and the roof was completely renovated. Engineering networks were replaced, new windows and stained-glass windows were installed, and both the facade and interior premises were updated.

The building is equipped with modern heating, water supply, sewage, power supply, and communication systems.

Passenger lounges and public areas have been upgraded. The adjacent territory has been landscaped, paving stones have been laid, and the canopy and passenger platform have been renovated. New furniture, necessary equipment, fencing, and additional emergency exits have been installed in accordance with fire safety requirements.

Following the reconstruction, the station can accommodate up to 441 people simultaneously. The average daily passenger traffic of the station is about 1,907 people.

A total of 12 trains pass through the Zhezkazgan station, connecting the city with Almaty, Astana, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, and Karaganda.

The reconstruction was carried out as part of the country's railway station modernization program initiated by the instruction of the Head of State.

The project was implemented using the own funds of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, JSC "Samruk-Kazyna", and the Akimat of the Ulytau region.
