Reconstruction of three railway stations completed in Atyrau region

The reconstruction of the Makat, Sagyz, and Dossor railway stations has been completed in the Atyrau Region.
During the reconstruction, a comprehensive set of construction and installation works was carried out across all facilities. This included updating the load-bearing structures, roofs, and facades, replacing utility networks, performing interior finishing, landscaping the surrounding areas, and installing new furniture and modern equipment.
The reconstruction was conducted as part of the railway infrastructure modernization program in fulfillment of the Head of State's directive. The project received support from the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, the Akimat of the Atyrau Region, and Samruk-Kazyna JSC. It was funded through the own resources of NC KTZ JSC.
The Makat railway station, built in 1966, expanded its area from 355.8 to 374.9 square meters following the reconstruction. The station serves an average of 138 passengers daily. A total of 26 passenger trains operate through the station, providing transport links to Mangistau, Beyneu, Astana, Pavlodar, Semey, Taraz, Shu, Shymkent, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, Kokshetau, Burabay Resort, and Kostanay, as well as the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Sagyz station, built in 1973, was reconstructed with an area expansion from 249 to 348 square meters. The station serves an average of 88 passengers per day. Twelve passenger trains pass through the station, connecting the region with Mangistau, Beyneu, Uralsk, Astana, Pavlodar, Semey, Taraz, Shu, Shymkent, Turkestan, Atyrau, Kokshetau, Burabay Resort, and Kostanay.
The Dossor railway station, built in 1966, also increased its area from 249 to 348 square meters after modernization. The station handles an average of 107 passengers daily. Twenty passenger trains run through this station towards Almaty, Taraz, Shu, Shymkent, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, Astana, Kokshetau, and Kostanay, as well as to the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
Domestically produced materials were utilized during the reconstruction of all three stations. The modernized facilities fully comply with contemporary safety, accessibility, and comfort standards, ensuring a higher level of passenger service.
The upgrade of these stations is part of a large-scale modernization program covering 124 railway stations across the country. The consistent renewal of the passenger infrastructure aims to improve transport service quality, boost regional development, and create comfortable conditions for residents and visitors of Kazakhstan.
