The reconstruction of railway stations has been completed in the Mangystau and Pavlodar regions

"Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" NC" JSC has completed the reconstruction of railway stations at Shetpe (Mangystau region) and Karasor (Pavlodar region) stations. The works were funded by the company's own resources as part of the implementation of the Head of State's instructions, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, and "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC.

The station at Shetpe was built in 1967. The project involved constructing a new structural frame, installing the roof and facade, laying utility networks, completing interior finishing, and landscaping the surrounding area. The building has been equipped with new furniture and modern equipment. Kazakhstani-produced materials were used throughout the project.

The station's area has been increased several times over, from 201 to 1,090 square meters. The building meets modern standards for safety, energy efficiency, and accessibility.

The station is classified as Type 1 and serves approximately 100 passengers daily. Sixteen passenger trains operate through the station, heading to Semey, Karaganda, Mangystau, Aktobe, Atyrau, and Uralsk.The station at Karasor was built in 1988. The project involved renovating the roof, facade, and interior spaces.

The water supply, sewage, heating, power supply, and communication systems were fully upgraded. The surrounding area has been landscaped, and the passenger platform was renovated.

The building is equipped with modern ventilation and fire safety systems. For passengers with reduced mobility, a ramp, tactile navigation, and a dedicated waiting room have been provided. Comfortable waiting areas have also been created for all passengers.

The station is classified as Type 3. Four passenger trains operate through the station, heading to Astana, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Shymkent, and Turkestan.

The reconstruction of the stations has enhanced passenger comfort and service quality, while ensuring that the facilities comply with modern safety and accessibility standards.
