30-06-2026

Following their reconstruction, the railway stations in the West Kazakhstan and Almaty regions have been officially commissioned into operation.

In the West Kazakhstan region, the reconstruction of the Kazakhstan station building, originally constructed in 1937, has been completed. The station handles an average daily passenger volume of approximately 300 commuters. As part of the project, the building's facade and interior premises were renovated, engineering infrastructure was modernized, the surrounding area was landscaped, and contemporary furniture and equipment were installed. Domestic construction materials were utilized throughout the execution of the works.

A total of 12 passenger trains transit through the Kazakhstan station, providing transportation links to Almaty, Oral, Astana, the Mangystau region, as well as the Russian Federation.

In the Almaty region, the railway station of the Konaev station, built in 1978, has reopened following its reconstruction. The scope of work included the reconstruction of the building with the partial dismantling of existing structures to expand its total area. The facade, interiors, engineering networks, passenger platform, and adjacent grounds were fully updated. To ensure accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility, a ramp was installed, and new emergency exits were constructed in compliance with fire safety regulations. Kazakhstani-produced building materials were used during the reconstruction process.

The Konaev station serves an average of 45 passengers per day. Twelve passenger trains operate through the station, securing connections to Almaty, Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, and other cities in Kazakhstan, as well as the Russian Federation.

The reconstruction of these facilities is funded entirely through KTZ's own resources and is aimed at enhancing the quality of passenger service, ensuring safety, and creating comfortable conditions for both residents and visitors of the regions.
