23-09-2026

The reconstruction of the railway station terminal at Atbasar station has been completed in the Akmola region. The building, originally constructed in 1956, was modernized and expanded, increasing its total area from 660.6 to 823.4 square meters.

The roof, facade, interior premises, engineering networks, platform, and adjacent territory have been completely renovated. Kazakh-made materials were utilized during the project. The reconstruction was carried out as part of a large-scale national program to modernize the country's railway stations, implemented on the instructions of the Head of State.

The station has become more convenient and safer for passengers. Additional evacuation routes have been established, a ramp for passengers with reduced mobility has been installed, and new furniture and equipment have been provided.

The station serves approximately 310 passengers daily. Sixteen passenger trains pass through the station, connecting Atbasar with Astana, Kostanay, Semey, Karaganda, Aktobe, Arkalyk, Shu, Mangistau, Beyneu, and Uralsk.

The reconstruction of the station was funded by JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy's own resources, with support from the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, JSC Samruk-Kazyna, and the Akimat of the Akmola region.
