Railway workers conducted "safe crossing" preventive campaign at 53 level crossings

05-08-2026

As part of the implementation of the "Law and Order" ideology announced by the Head of State, JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" is conducting a nation-wide preventive campaign called "Safe Crossing". It aims to prevent road traffic accidents and cultivate a culture of safe behavior among road users.

The campaign will run until September 15, 2026, and will cover at least 100 level crossings across the country.

As of August 5, the "Directorate of Main Railway Network" — a branch of JSC "NC "KTZ" — has already carried out preventive measures at 53 level crossings. The busiest crossings, where traffic violations by drivers are recorded most frequently, were selected for the campaign.

Events took place in the following areas:

  • In the Akmola region — at the level crossings of Saumalkol and Taiynsha stations;

  • In the Kostanay region — at five level crossings, including Kushmurun station, and the Kostanay-Glavny – Kostanay-Severny and Toguzak – Peshkovka sections. Additionally, a preventive meeting was held with students of the "Virage Auto-2012" driving school in Kostanay;

  • In the Pavlodar region — at five level crossings of Zholkuduk and Yereymentau stations, as well as the Ekibastuz-2 – Ekibastuz-Severny, Ekibastuz-1 – Atygay, and Yedyge – Yereymentau sections;

  • In the Karaganda region — at the level crossing of Karaganozek station;

  • In the Semey region — at four level crossings of the Semey-Levy – Irtysh and Oskemen-1 – Ust-Kamenogorsk sections, and Ayagoz station;

  • In the Almaty region — at 16 level crossings, including Altynkol station, and the Bayserke – Zhetysu, Bayserke – Kairat, Beskol – Zhaipak, Siding No. 8 – Beskol, Kurushdalasy – Ushtobe, and Ushtobe – Kalpe sections;

  • In the Zhambyl region — at five level crossings of the Taraz – Burul, Burul – Shaykoryk, Taraz – Talas, and Shu – Aspara sections;

  • In the Shymkent region — at the level crossing of the Badam – Igilik section;

  • In the Kyzylorda region — at four level crossings of the Siding No. 20 – Baygekum and Sekseul – Kurlyk sections, as well as at Kazaly and Aral Tengizi stations;

  • In the Aktobe region — at five level crossings of the Aktobe – Zhinishke, Oral – Zhilayevo, Alga – Tamdy, and Kudyk – Zhem sections;

  • At the level crossings of Iletsk station and the Iletsk – Siding No. 25 section;

  • At Mukur station;

  • In the Mangystau region — at the level crossings of Mangyshlak and Shetpe stations.

During the campaign, railway workers, together with police officers, conduct preventive talks with drivers, explain the traffic regulation requirements for crossing level crossings, distribute information leaflets, and remind drivers that violating railway crossing rules poses a threat to life and can lead to severe consequences.

JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" urges drivers to strictly comply with the requirements of road signs and traffic lights, not to enter a crossing when a stop signal is active, and to remember that safety on the railway depends on the responsibility of every road user.
