Port of Aktau breaks container shipping record

By the end of September 2026, the Port of Aktau handled 10,186 TEU, representing an 80% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

This achievement sets a new record for the port and reflects steady growth in demand for container shipping across the Caspian Sea.

This positive dynamic is driven by rising cargo volumes along the TITR (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route), the development of container infrastructure along the route, and the expansion of railway and port cargo handling capacities.
