A pilot export shipment to Belgium via TITR has been organized
18-02-2026
KTZ Express, a subsidiary of KTZ, carried out a pilot export shipment of Kazakhstani broken rice to the port of Antwerp (Kingdom of Belgium) via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The shipment was organized in a multimodal format, using rail infrastructure and shipping routes across the Caspian and Black Seas.
The logistics plan is based on the Kyzylorda – Aktau Port – Poti Port – Antwerp Port route, sequentially utilizing rail and sea transport. Sea transportation between the ports of Poti and Antwerp is carried out with the participation of the international shipping group CMA CGM Group.
Previously, cargo shipments in this direction were primarily carried out overland via the Semiglavy Mar border crossing, followed by transit through Brest, Duisburg, and Antwerp. Using the TITR infrastructure has significantly optimized logistics: shipping costs along the new route are lower than via the Northern Corridor, with comparable transit times. The estimated transit time is approximately 30 days.
