Over 212.7 Million Tons of Cargo Transported via KTZ Network in Eight Months of 2026

Following the results of January–August 2026, the volume of cargo transportation across the network of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" amounted to 212.7 million tons. Domestic transportation reached 112.4 million tons. The volume of export shipments increased by 6.8%, totaling 61.5 million tons.

During the eight months of this year, 68.3 million tons of coal were shipped via the KTZ network, which is 2% higher than the figure for the same period last year. Of this amount, 46.8 million tons were delivered to Kazakhstani consumers (+2%), and 21.5 million tons were dispatched for export (+2%).

The positive dynamic in grain transportation continues. From January to August, grain loading reached 9.3 million tons, representing a 13% increase compared to the previous year. Grain exports grew by 14% to 7.2 million tons. Domestically, 2.1 million tons of grain were transported, which is 8% higher than last year's figure. Export shipments of milled products amounted to 1.8 million tons, showing a 6% increase.

During the reporting period, the KTZ network also transported 14.6 million tons of non-ferrous ore and 13.4 million tons of construction materials.

Growth was also recorded across other key cargo categories. Iron ore transportation reached 69 million tons, increasing by 1.3 million tons (+1.9%). The volume of ferrous metal transportation totaled 10.8 million tons (+4.5%), while crude oil accounted for 1.5 million tons (+29.8%).
