The reconstruction of the Zhelezorudnaya railway station has been completed in the Kostanay region. Originally built in 1959, the station has been completely updated. During the reconstruction process, the former building was demolished, and a new single-story station spanning an area of 416.1 square meters was constructed in its place.

The scope of the project included upgrading engineering networks, landscaping the surrounding area, equipping emergency exits, and installing modern furniture and equipment. The station serves an average of 452 passengers daily. A total of 12 passenger trains transit through the station, providing rail links to Almaty, Shu, Kostanay, Atyrau, Aktobe, Oral, Astana, Kokshetau, and the Borovoye resort.

The reconstruction was carried out as part of the railway infrastructure modernization program, in execution of the Head of State's directive, and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, the Akimat of Kostanay Region, and Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

The project was funded through NC KTZ JSC’s own resources.

The new station meets contemporary safety, accessibility, and comfort standards, ensuring more convenient conditions for passengers.
