New RWS Wagon Model 45 passenger cars have been launched on the Astana-Omsk international route

Passenger Transportation JSC continues the phased renewal of its rolling stock, introducing modern RWS Wagon Model 45 passenger cars on international route No. 145/146 between Nurly Zhol and Omsk. The train will operate from Nurly Zhol station three times a week- on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The Nurly Zhol-Omsk train consists of eight new cars, including compartment and reserved seat cars, with a total capacity of over 300 passengers. Special seats are also provided for people with disabilities. The train departs Nurly Zhol station at 7:40 PM (Astana time) and arrives at Omsk station at 8:18 AM (Moscow time). The train departs Omsk station in the return direction at 12:07 PM (Moscow time) and arrives at Nurly Zhol station at 4:48 AM (Astana time). Travel time is 14 hours 53 minutes.
"Following the instructions of the Head of State, systematic work is underway to update and modernize our passenger car fleet, which is a strategic priority for our company. Today, the updated train is being launched on the Astana-Omsk route. These changes will be a significant step in the development of international transport," noted Diyar Nusipkozhanov, Chairman of the Management Board of Passenger Transportation JSC, at the presentation of the new cars.
The cars of the new "45" series meet modern safety, energy efficiency, and comfort requirements. The interior is made of wear-resistant materials and features climate control and air disinfection systems, convertible berths, USB ports and 220V sockets, Wi-Fi, dry closets, and modern thermal insulation.
The carriages are equipped with video surveillance and fire extinguishing systems, as well as central air conditioning, ensuring comfort all year round. For passenger convenience, audio announcements, exit lighting, baby changing tables, individual safes, and hypoallergenic interior materials are provided. These design solutions optimize operation and improve service efficiency.
As a reminder, the Astana-Omsk route was launched into regular service in the winter of 2025.
