The national carrier is launching an electric train on the Shu-Otar route

JSC Passenger Transportation will launch an electric train on suburban route No. 6946/6945 Shu – Otar on February 19, 2026. The upgraded rolling stock will significantly increase capacity and improve passenger comfort.

Previously, a single passenger car operated on this route. With the introduction of the new train, a four-car electric train will be in operation. The train has a capacity of over 300 passengers.

The service operates daily:

• Departure from Shu station: 3:30 PM, arrival at Otar station: 7:00 PM.
• Departure from Otar station: 6:40 AM, arrival at Shu station: 10:03 AM.

Passengers have access to three comfort classes:

• 1st class — 2,257 tenge
• 2nd class — 2,097 tenge
• 3rd class — 1,751 tenge
