Meeting of the heads of KTZ and GR transit discussions

Within the framework of the New Silk Way International Forum in Astana, the management of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" held a bilateral meeting with the management of "Georgian Railway" JSC to discuss current issues of cooperation.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed in detail the current situation with transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) and assessed the implementation status of the joint Action Plan for eliminating bottlenecks on the TITR.

The development of this corridor, which demonstrates record dynamics, remains a key vector of interaction. By the end of 2025, the volume of transit transportation reached 42 thousand TEU or 356 container trains, which is 15% higher than the 2024 figure, when 36.2 thousand TEU were transported.

The parties confirmed their intention to continue joint work on optimizing logistics processes, improving infrastructure, and reducing cargo delivery times.
