KTZ strengthens fire safety measures and emergency preparedness

Based on the results of the first half of 2026, the Emergency Situations Department of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC conducted 43,000 inspections of railway facilities and rolling stock to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements.
Over 9,000 fire safety briefings were held, with more than 21,000 employees taking part. Additionally, over 4,900 employees completed training under the fire-technical minimum program, for which 473 training sessions were organized.
KTZ, in cooperation with units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, conducted 131 fire-tactical exercises. The drills focused on practicing actions for fire suppression and emergency response.
During the fire-hazard season, KTZ is implementing a comprehensive set of preventative measures in accordance with the Plan for Reducing the Risks of Forest and Steppe Fires in the Territory of Kazakhstan.
In the area of civil defense and emergency prevention, the readiness of management bodies, forces, and resources for rapid response to potential incidents has been ensured.
Special attention is paid to the readiness of fire trains and civil protection formations to operate during the summer transportation period and the fire-hazard season.
KTZ also collaborates with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and territorial departments for emergency situations. Satellite monitoring systems are used to control the fire situation, allowing for the timely detection of risks and prompt implementation of necessary measures.
