KTZ set a record for grain loading in September

In September 2026, JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" transported 1.45 million tons of grain. This is the highest volume of grain loading for a September and is 7% higher than in September of last year.

A total of 1.2 million tons of grain was sent for export, representing a 13% increase. The main volume went to Central Asian countries—701 thousand tons (+8%), including 512 thousand tons sent to Uzbekistan (+14%). Shipments to Afghanistan grew 3.4 times, reaching 107 thousand tons, while shipments to China increased 2.8 times, reaching 188 thousand tons.

Transportation of milled products in September amounted to 274 thousand tons (+13%), with 230 thousand tons of that total going toward export (+27%).

In total, over the first nine months of 2026, 10.8 million tons of grain were transported by rail, which is 12% more than during the same period a year earlier. Out of this amount, 8.4 million tons were directed to export (+14%).
