KTZ reminds parents and teenagers of safe travel rules on trains
15-09-2026
As part of increasing public awareness of railway transportation rules and the safety of minors, as well as implementing the principles of the "Law and Order" concept, KTZ reminds passengers of the rules for the travel of children and teenagers on passenger trains.
KTZ recommends that parents check the availability of travel documents, documents confirming the child's identity and age, as well as the necessary accompaniment documents well in advance of the trip.
Children under the age of 7 may travel free of charge without being provided a separate seat. If a separate seat is required, a child's travel document must be issued.
A child's ticket is issued for children aged 7 to 15. When a minor travels accompanied by a person who is not a parent or legal representative, a corresponding document granting the right to accompany the child is required.
Teenagers over the age of 15 may travel independently, provided they have the necessary documents and the written consent of a legal representative, executed in accordance with the established procedure.
Compliance with the established rules is an important component of a safe journey. Responsible behavior by parents, companions, and the teenagers themselves helps prevent violations and ensures passenger safety.
KTZ urges parents to familiarize their children with the rules of conduct on the railway in advance and to remind them of the need to comply with safety requirements at stations and on trains.
Law and order begin with personal responsibility and compliance with established rules.
