KTZ prepares railway infrastructure for operation in winter conditions

Large-scale and comprehensive preparation of the railway infrastructure for operation in winter conditions is underway across the KTZ network, taking into account low temperatures, heavy snowfalls, and other natural factors.

As part of the winter preparations, measures are provided to ready 1,663 buildings and structures, 14.5 km of heating networks, as well as 279 units of snow-removal and snow-clearing equipment.

The necessary fuel reserves are being formed. More than 27 thousand tons of industrial coal are provided for production needs, and over 9 thousand tons of domestic coal are intended for employees and pensioners.

Special attention is paid to providing workers with personal protective equipment. Within the framework of preparation for the winter period, the issuance of more than 128 thousand sets of winter workwear and footwear is planned.

In parallel, training is being conducted to prepare employees for working in winter conditions. Workers undergo the necessary briefings and training on the safe operation of facilities and equipment, as well as actions to take during adverse weather conditions.
