KTZ management held a series of bilateral meetings with Chinese partners at a business forum in Shanghai

Shanghai hosted the international business forum "Kazakhstan – China: Transport and Logistics Cooperation and E-Commerce – New Technologies, New Opportunities," organized by JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. The forum was attended by Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Samruk-Kazyna; Asel Zhanasova, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kuanyshbek Esekeyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Digitalization, and others.
Within the framework of the business forum, the management of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy held a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of China's largest transport, logistics, and technology companies. The participants included leading Chinese companies such as COSCO Shipping, Shanghai International Port Group, Lianyungang Port, China Railway Container Transport, China Harbour Engineering Company, Global DTC, and Sichuan Port and Shipping Investment Group.
The main topics of discussion included the further development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (the Middle Corridor), increasing cargo volumes, implementing joint infrastructure and logistics projects, digitalizing transport processes, adopting artificial intelligence technologies, and expanding investment cooperation.
"Today, the competitiveness of transport routes no longer depends solely on infrastructure. Data, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence play an increasingly vital role, becoming key factors in improving transport efficiency, decision-making speed, and the quality of logistics services," noted Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Samruk-Kazyna, during his speech at the business forum.
Following the meetings, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding strategic transport and logistics cooperation, implementing joint infrastructure projects, and adopting advanced digital technologies.
The development of cooperation with Chinese partners will help strengthen Kazakhstan's role as a key transit hub in Eurasia and enhance the competitiveness of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
